This Thursday is our St. Cuthbert's Coffee Afternoon with all monies raised going to help the victims of the Philippines Typhoon.

 

Preparing for the Coffee Afternoon has provided lots of fantastic mathematic opportunities.

Year 1 have had the important task of finding out which cake toppings children in school prefer from a choice of four - icing with sprinkles; icing with Jelly Tots; chocolate icing with Smarties; or buttercream with marshmallows. Which would you prefer? 

 

Today we have conducted a survey of the school with groups of children visiting different classes to collect data. It was great fun!
