A New Term

Already we are into our third week!

 

Mrs Thomson and Mrs McCormack Jones are really looking forward to speaking to parents at the Parent's Evening next week and sharing the amazing work your child has been doing in class.

Yesterday our dance teacher, Mrs Cleasby, came to start our dance topic. We are basing our work on the story 'Penguin Small.' The children made amazing penguins! Maybe they could treat you to a performance of some of their routine for you at home?  Please note that PE has changed to a Monday for this half term.

In Numeracy we have been doubling numbers. Most children are very confident doubling numbers to 5 + 5 and are starting to double to 10 + 10. Some children were even shown how to double 2-digit numbers (using Numicon) - AMAZING!

Mrs Thomson is very excited to be teaching a BIG WRITE tomorrow. I have my raisins at the ready! (Ask the children!)
