Handa's Surprise

In literacy this half term we are looking at a story that was based in Kenya. We have been retelling the story, creating masks and trying lots of different fruit. We have tried a mango, pineapple, guava and an avocado. Next we wrote sentences using adjectives to describe what the fruit tasted like. Take a look at some of the fantastic faces when trying the new fruits.

    Yummy! These are my favourite fruit! Pineapple was sweet and juicy! And avocado was smooth and juicy!

    What fruit was your favorite fruit year 1? Was it the spiky ,yellow pineapple or the green , slimy avacado? Or the red,ripe mango?From Matylda. Xxxxx.
